The Washington Thriving Strategic Plan has officially been released to the legislature and is now publicly available! You can download and read the entire Plan and explore the components of The Plan here. The video above provides a brief overview of the Strategic Plan.
What is the Strategic Plan?
The Washington Thriving Strategic Plan aims to transform how Washington approaches behavioral health for its youngest residents. The Plan intends to build a statewide behavioral health system where thriving is the norm and fewer young people experience crises and unmet behavioral health needs; where access to care is equitable regardless of location or background, service capacity meets the full spectrum of needs, and the vital conditions for health and well-being are strengthened for all.
The Strategic Plan development was guided by the Washington Thriving Advisory Group and received input and support from many different collaborators across the system. The input and partnership with the Advisory Group and other contributors with lived and living experience with the behavioral health system as young people, families, and system partners led to the creation of a Strategic Plan that centers the needs of those who use the system.
